WhatsSuite ("we", "us", "our") provides a WhatsApp Business messaging platform that lets a business ("you", "your workspace") connect its own WhatsApp Business Account (WABA), managed through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, to send and receive messages, manage contacts, and automate customer communication. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and how you can have it deleted.
What we collect
- Account & connection data — your WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID, and the access credentials needed to send/receive messages on your behalf, encrypted at rest.
- Message data — the content, media, and metadata (timestamps, delivery/read status) of messages sent and received through your connected WhatsApp number.
- Contact data — phone numbers and any names/attributes you or your team add for the people who message your business.
- Account holder data — the name and email address of people who sign in to manage your workspace.
- If you connect via "Continue with Facebook" — your Meta user ID and the specific permissions (scopes) you granted during that connection, recorded with a timestamp.
How we use it
Data is used solely to operate the messaging platform on your behalf: sending and receiving WhatsApp messages, displaying your conversation history, running any automation or campaigns you configure, and reporting delivery/quality metrics back to you. We do not sell your data or your contacts' data, and we do not use your message content to train any third-party model.
Data retention
Data is retained for as long as your workspace remains connected, so your conversation history stays available to you. If you disconnect your WhatsApp account (see below), associated contact and message data tied to that connection is permanently deleted at that time.
Your right to deletion
You can disconnect your WhatsApp account and delete its associated data at any time from your workspace's WhatsApp connection settings — this immediately and permanently removes the connection, your contacts, and your message history tied to it.
If you connected via Facebook Login/Embedded Signup and remove WhatsSuite's access from your Meta account settings, Meta automatically notifies us via a Data Deletion Callback, and we delete the corresponding data the same way, without any further action needed from you.
Third parties
Messages are sent and received through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, which has its own data processing terms. We do not share your data with any other third party except where required by law.
